David Siegel, PhD

David has more than 15 years of international research and product development experience in crop protection, human, and veterinary pharma. In technical leadership roles at Bayer Animal Health, Elanco and Boehringer Ingelheim, he worked along the entire product development value chain from drug discovery to marketed product defence. For the last two years he acted as the Head of Research and Development for the NZ based early-stage biotech company Ruminant Biotech.
His professional passion is in the orientation of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) activities, providing engaging leadership to subject matter expert teams and solving complex analytical challenges.
David has contributed to more than five globally marketed pharmaceutical products and has authored and co-authored more than 30 scientific publications and patents. In his free time, he is a passionate home brewer and enjoys running loops around Mt Eden, the Auckland Domain and Hobson Bay.
